  • Immediate help by chat: https://askalibrarian.org/scf . If you are chatting with an SCF Librarian, they will accept submissions of citations to review or offer to work with you live on Teams.
  • E-mail: contact SCF Librarians to submit citations for review, set up a consultation, or ask questions.
  • Personal consultations: Contact SCF Librarians to set up a live consultation in Teams.
  • Virtual workshops: Live workshops on MLA/APA, research paper, databases, & more, listed in our Calendar.

 Virtual Tutoring Information

For Virtual Tutoring, you must have a microphone, internet access, and use Chrome web browser. This program does work with your smart phone (though the assistance may be harder to see from a small screen.)

To log on:

  1. Click on the tutor's name you want to talk to. (Look at their schedule and subjects covered!)
  2. A page will open asking you to download OR to use Teams on the web. You may choose either. (If you are using your phone it will require you to download the app)
  3. If you entered on your browser, you will enter your name and click "Join Now". If you are using Teams you will be asked to sign in using your SCF email address and password.
  4. You will then go into a wait room and the tutor will let you in as soon as they are available. Sometimes we have multiple tutors on for the same subject. If you're waiting for one, you can try to pop into another waiting room to see if they're available.
