President Gregory Selected for Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 43

Bradenton, Fla. Jun. 18, 2025

(Bradenton, Fla., June 18, 2025)— Tommy Gregory, J.D., President of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota has been selected to join Leadership Florida’s prestigious Cornerstone Class 43. The program brings together 55 of the state’s most accomplished leaders for a nine-month educational experience designed to refine leadership skills and provide critical insights into Florida’s history, challenges, and future opportunities.

President Gregory, a native Floridian, brings over 30 years of experience in leadership, legal counsel, and public service. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, and then nine years as an attorney with Williams Parker. He is also a former member of the Florida House of Representatives, where he served for three terms, and has contributed to numerous community organizations. President Gregory earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with distinction from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) with honors from the University of Texas School of Law.

In response to his selection, President Gregory shared, “I’m honored to join the Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 43. Leadership Florida’s mission to connect individuals from diverse backgrounds and foster meaningful relationships aligns with my belief in collaboration and service to the community. I look forward to learning from my fellow participants and contributing to the important work of shaping Florida’s future.”

The Cornerstone Class program includes a series of sessions held in cities throughout the state, where participants will engage with top experts on Florida’s most pressing issues, while also refining their leadership capabilities. The program provides opportunities for members to form lasting relationships and deepen their impact on the state’s future.

With a strong alumni network, Leadership Florida includes some of the state’s most influential leaders across various sectors, from business and government to academia and non-profits. Through this program, President Gregory joins a distinguished group of professionals committed to improving Florida’s communities.
