(Bradenton, Fla., July 10, 2025)—State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota has appointed Jennifer Price, CPA, as its new vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) effective July 14. Price has over three decades of experience in financial leadership, higher education and public accounting. She most recently served as vice president for finance and administration and CFO at Ringling College of Art and Design, overseeing the college’s financial management, endowment operations, risk management, facilities and compliance efforts. She will succeed SCF Senior Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services Julie Jakway, who will retire later this year.

Price previously served for over a decade as the deputy director, chief operations officer and CFO at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, part of Florida State University. She oversaw the museum’s operations, finance, compliance, and capital projects, leading a team of over 250 employees and managing an annual budget exceeding $20 million. Her community involvement includes serving on boards or committees with Visit Sarasota, Just for Girls, Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School and other organizations.

Price is a certified public accountant in Florida and an active member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of South Florida.

Jakway will mentor Price and provide support to ensure a smooth onboarding and transition process. SCF will hold a retirement celebration later this year to honor Jakway and her remarkable career and service at the college.
