SCF Board of Trustees Report: Feb. 24, 2026

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on Feb. 24.

The board heard presentations on:

  • President’s Report Tommy Gregory, J.D., president, SCF.
  • Mission Moment – SCF Occupational Therapy Assistant Program – Julie Bezold, professor, SCF.
  • SCF Foundation Update – Cassandra Holmes, vice president of advancement and executive director, SCF Foundation.
  • CFO Report – Jennifer Price, vice president of finance and administrative services/CFO.
  • Florida College System Institutions 101 – Steve W. Prouty, vice president and general counsel, SCF.

The board approved:

  • Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
  • A contract in the amount of $1,090,826 with Sweet Sparkman Architects for the SCF Venice Collegiate School design.
  • Increase of the total budget for the refurbishment of SCF’s baseball and softball athletic fields at SCF Bradenton to $950,000. 
  • A contract in the amount of $899,728 with JSM Services to refurbish SCF’s baseball and softball athletic fields at SCF Bradenton.
  • Rule 6HX14-2.26 Holidays and Other Paid Non-Duty Days – Steve Prouty, vice president and general counsel.

The next board meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Mar. 31 at SCF Bradenton.
