Begin your journey with our introductory Art Appreciation course, where you’ll learn the foundational skills to interpret and analyze works of art. Develop an eye for the elements of design, explore the role of media and technique, and discover how to contextualize art within its historical and cultural framework. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to deepen your understanding, this course will equip you with the tools to engage with the visual world in a meaningful way.

You can further your study of art history with Intro to Art History I: Prehistory to Renaissance, you’ll uncover the origins of art, tracing its evolution from the cave paintings of our ancestors to the soaring Gothic cathedrals of medieval Europe. Explore the vibrant cultures of the ancient world, the innovations of the Classical age, and the breathtaking masterpieces of the Renaissance.


Then, in Intro to Art History II: Renaissance to Present, you’ll witness the dramatic transformations that have shaped the art world in more recent centuries. Discover the bold experimentation of the Impressionists, the visionary brilliance of the Modernists, and the endless creativity that defines contemporary art.

Note – these courses do NOT need to be taken in order.
