Renewal Students

There are requirements for maintaining your scholarship funds after the first year of eligibility. Current requirements that may affect your status are available at the Renewal Students Bright Futures page.

Reporting Summer Grades and GPA

For 2009-10 high school graduates and thereafter

Summer GPA may be reported during the summer after spring evaluation to meet the scholarship annual restoration requirements during the first year of funding only.  For a spring/summer cohort student, fall GPA may be earned after summer evaluation to meet the annual restoration requirements during the first year of funding only.  A student must ask a financial aid office at the home postsecondary institution to submit a summer/fall grade update to the Bright Futures office indicating the adjusted cumulative GPA so he/she may be reevaluated.  A Reinstatement/Restoration Application is not required during the summer/fall following a spring/summer renewal evaluation.

For 2008-09 high school graduates and earlier
